About OACES
The Oregon Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (OACES) is a professional organization committed to supporting counselor educators, supervisors, and graduate students across Oregon. We serve as the state division of the Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (WACES) and the national Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES).
OACES exists to foster connection, mentorship, advocacy, and professional development within the counselor education and supervision community. We aim to promote excellence in teaching, research, leadership, and clinical supervision through inclusive, culturally responsive practices.
Whether you are a faculty member, site supervisor, doctoral student, or new professional, OACES welcomes you into a vibrant community dedicated to the growth and integrity of the counseling profession.
What We Do
- Host workshops, meetings, and community gatherings throughout the year
- Provide networking and mentoring opportunities for counselor educators and supervisors
- Support advocacy efforts related to counselor education and licensure in Oregon
- Share resources, research, and job opportunities with members
- Maintain a statewide supervisor registry to increase access to qualified clinical supervision
